Free Bible Course

To learn more about the Bible sign up for our free 6 week Bible course. Together we will discover the foundations of the gospel message, God’s plan centred in Jesus Christ, and why we have hope for the future - giving a brief overview of the message recorded in the Bible.

This course will take place over six weeks, at our hall off Longfellow Road. Each week one of our members will lead an engaging presentation covering the subjects below.

You will learn:

  • This session will introduce the Gospel which is based on the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we will examine the evidence that Jesus rose from the dead and have an overview of Jesus' life and ministry.

  • This session will explore the history of the Bible and how it came together over 1400 years. We will see some historical, archaeological and textual evidence that supports the Bible's claims and consider why the unified message of the Bible is so remarkable.

  • This session will consider the question, 'Where does the difference between right and wrong come from?' It will then reveal how Jesus' death allows sin to be forgiven and how we can have our own sins forgiven.

  • This session will reveal God's plan for the Earth, introduce the Kingdom of God and explain what the Bible says will happen to us when we die.

  • This session will introduce Abraham and the promises God made to him. During it we will see how those promises have been passed down over generations, how they are relevant to us and what we can do to be part of those promises.

  • In the final session we will see why faith is essential for salvation and the importance of baptism as a symbol.

There will be opportunity during and after each session for questions and discussion around these topics to help you to get a good introduction to the gospel and a foundation to continue to find out more about God's word.

Q: Will I be asked to be "saved" or "join" the Christadelphians at the end of the course?
A: No! You will not be pressured during or at the completion of the classes. Our hope is that the classes will encourage you to draw your own conclusions about God and His plan.
Q: Why are you doing this?
A: The Bible is scarcely read in today's fast-paced society. Our faith and belief in God motivates us to share His message and Truth. We believe that the Bible teaches us what is right and good in directing our lives and families. In Jesus' day, his followers spread the good news Jesus had spoken about as well as the things he had commanded. We feel compelled to do the same, to share with everyone who is willing to listen, the wonderful plan God has promised for the earth.
Q: What if everyone there knows more than I do?
A: The classes will be run in such a way as to make everyone feel comfortable. No-one is ever put on the spot.
